Our trees are trimmed, our press releases are out, our Secret Santa packages are slowly but steadily making their way through the US Postal Service and there’s a fresh heaping of snow in both Boston and New York—which can only mean that we’re quickly approaching the holiday season here at V2!
Christmas has always been a special time here at V2. If we do say so ourselves, our annual holiday party is a December social event not to miss, and we always follow it up the next day with a bagel breakfast and Secret Santa exchange for our employees. This year, things look a little different—but we’re still finding ways to show our appreciation to our clients and our employees for an eventful year of great partnership and outstanding hard work.
Because we can’t raise a glass to our clients in person, we’ve done the next best thing: sent them each a bottle of wine from our friends at Stags’ Leap and a holiday letter recapping the exciting year V2 has had so that we can all toast the end of 2020 and look forward to a brighter 2021 full of exciting innovations and—of course—top media hits.
We’ve also brought our V2 celebrations online. We’ve been getting in the holiday spirit with a Christmas Edition of our favorite “Guess the V2er” game, discovering which of our colleagues learned Santa wasn’t real from an M&M commercial, or who was VERY excited to get a snow shovel from Santa when they were six so they could help shovel the driveway. (We’ll be asking that person if they still feel the same way now…)
Later today, we’ll gather round the Zoom Room for a V2 cocktail party and gift exchange, complete with a seasonal cocktail and cheese and crackers, courtesy of our #V2WFHSurprise elves. Our Secret Santas have also been hard at work, carefully choosing and shipping something they love themselves or always recommend to others to fit our “My Favorite Things” theme. While our V2ers have fewer clues to guess their Secret Santa this year, we’re confident the guessing portion of the party will be just as competitive as ever.
2020 has been a year of adapting and evolving. But while the format might look a little different lately, one thing hasn’t changed: the close-knit culture that holds our entire network together. If you’re reading this, we’re glad you’re a part of that network, and we look forward to a 2021 that is exciting for only the right reasons. Happy Holidays!
