An Account Manager at V2 Communications is a skilled strategist, client advisor, and team leader who ensures the health, success, and growth of assigned accounts. Account managers oversee day-to-day program implementation, manage associate team performance, and partner with account leadership to deliver results that align with clients’ business goals. This role requires strong project management and storytelling skills, the ability to counsel clients at a high level, and a talent for motivating teams to deliver excellence.
Key responsibilities
– Manage daily client activity and monthly/quarterly priorities to ensure programs deliver results, meet deadlines, and exceed expectations
– Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, offering proactive, thoughtful counsel and responding to emerging needs
– Partner with account leadership to set strategy and translate it into actionable, measurable plans
– Monitor account health and satisfaction, identifying opportunities for growth and flagging challenges early
– Oversee team workflow, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure deliverables meet V2’s quality standards
– Collaborate on integrated campaigns that blend media relations, content, social media, paid advertising, and other tactics to maximize impact
– Draft sophisticated content, including press releases, bylined articles, social content and speaking/award submissions
– Mentor, coach, and develop associate staff, providing clear feedback and guidance to build skills and confidence
– Participate in new business efforts, including brainstorming, proposal development, and pitch meetings
– Contribute to firm culture by sharing expertise, supporting colleagues, and engaging in professional development
– Other duties as necessary
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, or a related field
– 5–7 years of PR or communications agency experience, with some or all of that time in B2B technology
– Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
– Strong client relationship skills, with experience delivering strategic counsel and managing expectations
– Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication abilities
– Experience leading and developing associate team members
– Comfort with Microsoft Office/Windows, PR and marketing tools, and analytics platforms
Work Environment
This is a full-time hybrid role and will be expected to work from our Boston office at least twice per week, depending on client and team needs. Up to 10% day and overnight travel for client and V2 purposes may be required.

Compensation
The expected salary for this role is $80,000-$115,000 annually, and may vary based on experience and qualifications.
